10 Female Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Jamey-Lyn Horth Wessels (Flyweight)

31 | 5’7” | Squamish, British Columbia | 5-0 | 100% Finish Rate | 3 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions | Combined Opponents’ Record: 18-6 | Best win – Mayra Cantuária (9-3-1)

Among all the many top Canadian prospects, Wessels’ name is brought up a lot. That was evident when she beat a talented Jade Masson-Wong for the BFL title.

Wessels was supposed to fight on the Contender Series in the past but VISA issues held that back. She did capture the LFA title in 2021 but hasn’t fought since. Activity has been her biggest issue. There isn’t really a lot of footage on Wessels; going alone off her last fight she’s top-notch. Basically, it’s the pressure, wrestling, and a solid work rate is what she brings to the cage.
