10 Light Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Bruno “Brunão” Lopes

29 | 6’2″ | Cotia, Sao Paulo, Brazil | 11-0 | 9 Finishes | 5 KO/TKOs, 4 Submissions | Combined Opponents’ Record: 56-35-1 | Best Win – Mailton Azavedo (10-4)

Lopes exploded onto the MMA scene last year. He signed with LFA, went 2-0, and won their light-heavyweight title last September. Silva also looked awesome in those two fights being memorable performances. Lopes was away from the sport for six years until he made his comeback in 2021 and has gone on a tear.

When Lopes first started MMA he was mainly a grappler. His evolution has been crazy seeing how good his striking is today. Knowing he can get the takedown at almost any point he’s been comfortable in just letting his hands go. Lopes is patient and picks foes apart with the jab and heavy leg kicks. His body-head combinations are deadly and he has that one-punch knockout power. Lopes should already be signed to the UFC and he might be and we don’t know about it.
