According to the announcement the creation of the fight promotion will bring together fighters from around the world with a focus on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing and MMA.

Diaz is expected to apply for his promoter’s license in California in the next few weeks.

Any details on an inaugural event have not been released, but it’s not expected that the promotion will limit Diaz when it comes to his fight career.

This is not the first time a Diaz has thrown their hat into the promotional ring. Older brother Nick Diaz took a shot at running his own fight promotion with WAR MMA back in 2013. Only one WAR MMA event took place and it disappeared quietly after that.

Diaz, 37, is less than a week away from a main event fight with Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279 in Las Vegas, NV on Sept.10 at T-Mobile Arena.
