TTP Ep. 340 with Roybert Echevarria, Blake Bilder and Top 5 Head Kicks

Roybert Echevarria Interview (1:19)

Kicking off this week’s edition of TTP is an interview with Roybert Echevarria. The Venezuelan fighter discusses his long path to where he is today. The path includes protesting the government, the loss of friends and his own incarceration. It’s an inspirational story of overcoming hardships, and now Echevarria fights for all of the people back home. In addition to talking about his long road, he also discusses his gym – the highly underrated Goat Shed. He looks to put them on the map in week 9 of Contender Series and get a contract in the process.

Combat Countdown: Top 5 UFC Head Kicks (23:31)

This past weekend at UFC 278, Leon Edwards was a massive underdog. He closed just before fight time at +280 (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook) and was an even bigger longshot to hit the KO. However, that’s exactly what he did with just one minute left in the fight. So to honor the historic KO of the former pound-for-pound #1, we’re counting down the best head kicks in UFC history. There are ones with historic reference and ones that we just liked to watch. Which is the best of all time? Listen to the TTP crew and feel free to tell us that we’re wrong about it.

Blake Bilder Interview (39:46)

Closing out this week’s edition of TTP is yet another Contender Series contract hopeful. Blake Bilder pops by to discuss his chance at scoring a UFC contract, which will come at week 6 of our favorite Tuesday show. He discussed that fight against Alex Morgan as well as his thoughts and feelings when he got the call to be on the show. The current CFFC champion, who has already defended that belt once, was not surprised. He feels that others are going to see that he’s more than ready come next week.
