Andre Fialho wanted to fight at UFC 275, and he will.

Instagram page Full Violence was the first to report the news that Fialho will fight Jake Matthews at UFC 275 in Singapore on June 11. A source close to the situation confirmed the welterweight match-up to Cageside Press.

Fialho (16-4) is getting the quick turnaround he asked for after knocking Cameron VanCamp at UFC 274 last week. Prior to knocking out VanCamp, the fighter from Portugal knocked out Miguel Baeza at UFC Fight Night: Luque vs. Muhammad 2. Fialho’s five last wins have come via first-round knockout. The knockout artist also told Cageside Press last month that he hopes to fight six times in 2022.

Matthews (17-5) will have been off for more than a year by the time he enters the octagon in June. The Australian was scheduled to fight Jeremiah Wells in December; however, on the day of the event, one of Wells’ cornermen tested positive for COVID, and the fight was called off. The UFC veteran had his three-fight win streak snapped at UFC 253 against Sean Brady.

UFC 275 will take place in Singapore on June 11, 2022, and will feature two title fights.
