Bantamweight, Ricky Turcios (11-2)

Turcios was the winner of the return of The Ultimate Fighter last year — season 29. Along with putting on fun fights, fans were intrigued by his personality. He beat Brady Hiestand in the finale in a fun fight. Turcios is a scrapper as shown in the TUF house. He’s not shy of biting down on his mouthpiece and trading hands. Not to just fall in love with his toughness Turcios is a credible grappler. He’s someone definitely to watch for.

Middleweight, Dricus du Plessis (16-2)

Du Plessis made his way to the UFC after reigning as a KSW and EFC champion. He had a lot of hype behind him and has banked on that with two finishes in the octagon thus far. De Plessis is a K-1 kickboxer with nine submission victories. He throws heavy, is quick, and ends combinations with kicks perfectly. He is a bit tight with his striking but he has good quick hands and has some power. He hasn’t shown a fraction of what he did outside the UFC yet. He’s someone that could be highly ranked at the end of the year or hit a rough patch.
