10 Middleweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2022

Robert Vorobyov

30 | 6’1″ | Nikolaev, Ukraine | 15-3 | 14 finishes | 8 KO/TKOs, 6 Submission’s (4 RNC’s, 2 Guillotine’s) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 54-66 | Best Win – Michelangelo Colangelo (5-0)

Vorobyov suffered two defeats early in his career, then went on a tear winning nine consecutive fights. He used to fight at welterweight, but moved to middleweight in late 2019. Vorobyov is a good wrestler executing single legs and double legs while chaining together takedowns as well. On top, he is always active wanting to move into better positions. Vorobyov has active ground and pound to open up his opponent’s hands to sink in a choke. That is a big reason Vorobyov has six submission wins. He’s a technical fighter throwing the jab, low leg kicks, and has some sharp boxing.

He had a stumble last month, so will need a couple of wins to get back where he wants to be.
