LFA 118 went down on Friday in Burbank, California. And despite some drama with the main event falling through (more on that here), there were still some great fights on the night. One of those came care of Sidney Trillo, who finished Alandria Brown in the third round of their 115lb fight.

Strawweight Trillo (who has the awesome Sex Pistols-inspired nickname “Sid Vicious”) picked up the second win of her pro career on Friday night at LFA 118. Following the fight, she dedicated the victory to her coach, Rounders MMA’s Bao Quach, who lost his mother in the lead-up to the bout.

“I just wanted to make sure I got that win, because my coach, he lost his mom a week and a half ago, so it changed the fight a lot. But I just was determined to get that win for him.”

Following the fight, Trillo let Quach know that “that win was for him. For being here and just being with me, even through losing his mom, I couldn’t be more grateful and I thanked him for that. I just love him so much for it.”

The California native was also grateful for the crowd support she received on Friday. “It was amazing to have all of their support, especially my parents, they do so much for me. And to have everyone just support me and follow me, it makes the accomplishment just that much better.”
