Heistand has a solid 5-1 record and his only loss is to a solid fighter in Chad Anheliger. He trains out of Sikjitsu which is an outstanding team out of Spokane, Washington. He’s looked well-rounded and well-versed in all areas. Four of fives wins have come via stoppage.

His biggest problem is his level of competition, which has been somewhere between poor to beyond awful. His debut opponent could have rolled out in a wheelchair, he was so old in MMA terms (42 at the time they fought). While that’s a bit of a hyperbole, Heistand’s opponents have a combined record of 1-24 at the time he faced them. The one time he fought anyone on a higher level, Anheliger, he lost but sadly I can’t get any footage of that fight. The potential is there but it’s hard to expect much with his level of competition.
