Though Almeida competed at 145lbs. in his most recent fight, and will now be returning to the bantamweight division, it was only because his opponent (Alejandro Perez) was forced out of the fight at the last minute. It was Almeida’s first featherweight fight since 2014, but now he is back at 135lbs for UFC 260, where he faces Sean O’Malley.
