Jared “Nite Train” Gooden (17-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC)

Welterweight (170lbs): 0-1 (UFC), 12-3 (MMA), Missed weight 3x

Catchweight (180lbs): 1-0 (MMA)

Middleweight (185lbs): 4-1 (MMA)

Jared Gooden has had quite the pro MMA career thus far, and he is only 27 years old. Gooden is a big muscular guy, that stands a 6’0″ tall and has a 76″ reach. And because of his physical attributes Jared often struggles to make the welterweight limit.

Jared has missed weight at least three times in his professional MMA career thus far with his last miss coming in early 2019 for an Interim Title shot under the Titan FC promotial banner. Gooden weighed in at 174.6lbs for that bout.  It is worth noting that Gooden has also fought in a higher weight class since then too. Including two middleweight fights before moving back down to welterweight and scoring a finish that would birth his shot in the UFC.

Gooden made weight for his first UFC fight against Alan Jouban last November but he will undoubtedly be a fighter to watch during weigh ins thanks to his physical size as well as his weight cutting history.
