Jamie Pickett is a two time competitor on Dana White’s Contender Series and will be making his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 17 against Tafon Nchukwi.

The strongest part of Pickett’s game is his takedowns and grappling despite the lack of submission finishes on his record. Pickett uses his takedowns and grappling to control the pace of the fight, wear his opponent out and open them up for strikes.

Pickett received a UFC contract after his second appearance on DWCS earlier this year. Jamie smashed Jhonoven Pati in the second round, utilizing his long frame at 6’2″ and an 80″ reach to KO his opponent. Pickett opened up the second round completely blitzing his opponent with a multiple punch combination. With Jamie’s frame, he can outstrike his opponents from a safe distance after he has worn them out with his grappling skills.
