(John Phillips)

Call it recency bias if you will but, Khamzat Chimaev has a finish rate of 100% throughout his short, but impressive, professional mixed martial arts career. Chimaev made his debut in the UFC on July 15 and ran through John Phillips in two rounds though there was never a moment in the fight where he was not completely in control. The Swede has an absolutely smothering ground game and at a lighter weight class, it’s hard to imagine how an even smaller opponent will be able to deal with that element of his game. And as always, with a dominant ground game, most fighters look to stand with Chimaev but he has real power in his hands too.   Chimaev might not have the most experience in professional mixed martial arts but the combined record of the opponents that he has faced so far is 49-17.
