Cody “Spartan” Stamann (18-2-1 MMA, 4-1-1 UFC)

Bantamweight (135lbs): 3-1-1 (UFC)

Featherweight (145lbs): 1-0 (UFC)

Cody Stamann made his UFC debut in July 2017 against Terrion Ware in the featherweight weight class.  That was his only fight in the UFC at 145lbs. Stamann is taking just his second featherweight fight under the UFC’s promotional banner at UFC 250. But outside of the UFC Cody Stamann fought at featherweight almost every other fight of his professional career.

Cody’s lone loss in the UFC is by kneebar to Aljamain Sterling. Stamann’s last fight was a somewhat controversial draw to Yadong Song. Stamann’s fight with Brian Kelleher was added to UFC 250 inside of two weeks before the card so that could also have been a factor in Stamann’s decision to move up.
