Invicta FC took the show on the road on Saturday, traveling to Salt Lake City, UT with strawweight gold on the line!

Invicta FC went on the road over the weekend, heading to Salt Lake City, Utah for Invicta FC 28. With a strawweight title fight in the main event, some promising up-and-comers, and veterans like UFC alums Milana Dudieva, Pearl Gonzalez, and DeAnna Bennett, Invicta FC 28 promised plenty of action. And it delivered.

From Dudieva, Gonzalez, and Bennett all picking up much needed wins, to Kal Schwartz’s bloody beatdown of teen prospect Kay Hansen, Invicta FC 28 was heavy on the action.

In the main event, Virna Jandiroba used her grappling expertise to take the fight to the ground whenever Mizuki Inoue threatened on the feet. That allowed her to grind away and steadily batter her Japanese opponent, who was a threat whenever the fight was standing, and managed to put Jandiroba in danger on the ground from time to time. The fight went all the way to the fifth and final round; on the judge’s scorecards, two saw it in favor of Jandiroba, allowing her to claim the 115lb title.
