Invicta FC was back in action on Friday and back in Kansas City for Invicta FC 62, featuring a women’s bantamweight main event between Katharina Lehner and former Bellator title challenger Olga Rubin.
At least, it would have been a bantamweight main event, had Lehner not come in heavy for the fight, necessitating a catchweight. The main event wasn’t the only fight on Friday to require a shift in weight, as co-main event flyweight DeAnna Bennett missed the mark, officially for the fourth time in her professional career. Bennett had seen a title shot against Liz Carmouche under the Bellator banner slip through her fingers after missing weight a few years back; no title was on the line in Kansas City, but it was still a troubling speed bump for Bennett after she’d hit the mark for her last two fights.
