RIZIN Fighting Federation was back in action on Friday (Saturday locally in Japan), with RIZIN Landmark 15 taking place in Hiroshima and topped by a bantamweight title fight.
Former Bellator star Danny Sabatello had already defended his title once in 2026, after claiming gold back in January. Now, the brash, trash-talking American was set to take on DEEP champ Jinnosuke Kashimura, who had claimed his first notable title back in May.
Sabatello, with victories over UFC talents including Brett Johns and Da’Mon Blackshear, even had a win on the Contender Series in 2020. After working his way to contendership in Bellator, he’d had his biggest success in RIZIN, where he was undefeated through four fights, and looking to make it five.
