The PFL has announced a bout between two exciting featherweights in Cheyden Leialoha and Robert Ring for their event in Charlotte.
The PFL has announced a new addition to the card in Charlotte on August 07 as Cheyden Leialoha will be taking on promotional newcomer Robert Ring.
The matchup comes at a crucial time in the featherweight division as it is expected that the weight class will crown a new champion at some point later this year. Leialoha (11-3) will be looking to bounce back from a loss in his promotional debut in April where he fell to former tournament finalist Gabriel Braga. The loss snapped a three fight win-streak that saw “Steadfast” stop three opponents in the first round. Prior to entering the PFL, Leialoha had built up vast experience in various promotions across the United States in Bellator, LFA, and APFC.
Robert Ring (9-1) is a Dana White’s Contender Series veteran who will be going into the cage for the first time since last July and rides a three fight win-streak going into his first fight for the Professional Fighter’s League. “Razor” is a 25 year-old prospect whose resume includes fights in Aries Fight Series and Valor Combat Fighting Championship and he has won all of his nine fights by finish.
The card will be headlined by Carolina native and UFC veteran Bryan Battle who will take on last year’s World Tournament finalist Dalton Rosta in what is expected to be an electrifying middleweight bout. The event will take place at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte.
