Flyweights will take center stage in the main event of UFC Vegas 119, with Manel Kape and Kyoji Horiguchi looking to push closer to a title shot.

The pair have crossed paths before. That was back in RIZIN in Japan, in 2017, with Kyoji taking the win. Horiguchi, a former UFC title challenger in the Demetrious Johnson era, had left the company on a win streak, moved to RIZIN and Bellator, winning bantamweight gold in each simultaneously. A knee injury would see him vacate both titles, but he’d later return, and win a second title in RIZIN at flyweight.

Then came his surprise return to the UFC last year, where he’s gone 2-0 to date. He’s still gunning to be the first-ever Japanese UFC champion, and Saturday at UFC Vegas 119 will give him a chance to take the next step.

Weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 119 take place Friday in Las Vegas starting at 12PM ET, 9AM PT. Results can be found below.
