The UFC makes its debut in Azerbaijan this weekend, with UFC Baku on Saturday headlined by former light heavyweight champ Jamahal Hill and recent 205lb title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr.
The pair has been booked twice before, but with some luck at Friday’s official weigh-in, the third time will be the charm. The card’s co-main event sees Azerbaijan’s own Rafael Fiziev taking on Ignacio Bahamondes, with another local favorite, Tofiq Musayev, was making his debut against Myktybek Orolbai.
At heavyweight, meanwhile, Curtis Blaydes was set to compete for the first time since an interim title fight loss to Tom Aspinall last July, taking on newcomer Rizvan Kuniev, a PFL alum.
