It was a very rocky weigh-in day ahead of UFC Vegas 107, with Friday bringing about several misses at the scale, and a fight cancellation.
Of note, one half of the UFC Vegas 107 main event, Maycee Barber, came in heavy on Friday. She weighed in at 126.5lbs for her fight with Erin Blanchfield, a half-pound over the division’s non-title limit. That does not bode well for Barber, a title hopeful on a six-fight win streak.
Barber looked depleted on the scale, and she was not the only one.

In addition to Barber coming in heavy, the entire fight between Ketlen Vieira and Macy Chiasson was shifted from bantamweight to 145lbs. Considering the UFC no longer has a women’s featherweight division after a half-hearted attempt to establish it during the Amanda Nunes era, they’re lucky the fight is on at all. UFC officials announced the change in weight immediately prior to Vieira weighing in. While Chiasson came in at 144, Viera needed the grace pound even up a weight class, clocking in at 146.
The pair were previously booked to compete in 2023, only for the fight to fall through. Chiasson previously competed as a featherweight, while Vieira missed weight for a bantamweight bout back in 2021.
The chaos didn’t stop there. Allan Nascimento blew the flyweight limit for his fight with Jafel Filho, coming in at 127.5. And one fight was cancelled entirely: Andreas Gustafsson, set to make his promotional debut against Trevin Giles, will have to wait a little longer. No weight mishap this time, instead an injury to Giles is reportedly the culprit.
Giles himself was stepping in on short notice as an injury replacement, after Jeremiah Wells was forced to withdraw from the match-up. Andreas Gustafsson was to have been the first fighter to wear the newly announced “UFC Debut” patch on his fight kit.
UFC Vegas 107: Blanchfield vs. Barber takes place Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
