The UFC’s return to Montreal, Quebec has added some European flavour in the form of a light heavyweight bout.
Modestas Bukauskas (17-6) will take on Ion Cutelaba (19-10-1, 1NC) at the event on May 10, 2025 in the Canadian province. Both men are coming off wins earned as part of UFC Seattle just over a week ago.
Promotion officials announced the booking on Monday.
Bukauskas finished Raffael Cerqueira at the Seattle card care of a first round knockout, extending his win streak to two. On his second stint with the UFC, “The Baltic Gladiator” is 4-1 since returning to the big show. The 31-year old is also a two-time Cage Warriors light heavyweight champion.
Moldovan Cutelaba’s arm-triangle finish of Ibo Aslan at UFC Seattle also extended his own win streak to two. He’s 3-2 across his last five fights, and has competed under the UFC banner since 2016.
Ion Cutelaba had called for a rematch with Khalil Rountree Jr. following the Seattle card, despite having already won a fight with the title challenger. It seems the UFC wasn’t interested in going in that direction however.
