Featherweight action featuring a WEC legend is in store for fans attending UFC Tampa this December.

The Fight Night event will see “Killer” Cub Swanson (29-14) take on Billy Quarantillo at 145lbs. Quarantillo himself announced the news on social media recently.

Swanson was last in action this past June, when he lost a split decision opposite Andre “Touchy” Fili. The WEC vet has been trading wins and losses over the past couple of years, earning victories over Daniel Pineda, Darren Elkins, and Hakeem Dawodu.

“Killer” Cub Swanson turned pro in 2004, passing twenty years in the sport back in July. He moved to the WEC in 2007, joining the UFC in 2011 when the smaller organization was folded in by owners Zuffa. He’s now a UFC Hall of Fame member, for his fight with Doo-Ho Choi.

Quarantillo, himself a pro since 2013, has also been trading wins and losses of late. Most recently, he found himself submitted by Youssef Zalal. Prior to that, he’d earned a decision victory over Damon “The Leech” Jackson.
