Former middleweight contender Michel Pereira ran tbrough Polish powerhouse Michał Oleksiejczuk at UFC 299.

In his second fight after moving up from welterweight due to weight issues, Pereira extended his UFC winning streak to seven and will now push to become a contender in his new division as well. Ahead of time, the bout was circled as one of the most action-heavy on the UFC 299 prelims due to Pereira’s exciting, wild striking styke and Oleksiejczuk’s heavy hands which he throws with full power.

Pereira’s walkout began with a very well choreographed dance number with one of his coaches. The man came to entertain in Miami on one of the biggest cards in years.

Pereira came out aggressively and hurt Oleksiejczuk to the body multiple times with a few powerful body shots, punches and front kicks to the stomach. When Oleksiejczuk retreated at one point, doubled over in pain, Michel chased after him and choked him out with a no-hooks rear naked choke. Only one minute had passed in the entire fight.

With two early finishes in two UFC middleweight outings, the Brazilian is sure to be taking on a ranked opponent in the near future.
