If, after watching Tony Ferguson’s loss at UFC 296, you were expecting him to retire…well you get to wait a bit longer.

Ferguson, 39, posted a video on his Instagram account, with a message to MMA fans that included “#NotRetiringCasuals”.

Ferguson took his 10th career loss at the hands of Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296 in Las Vegas. Even though he was on a 6-fight losing streak he was still matched up with the up-and-coming Pimblett.

After a three-round bout which saw Pimblett dominate the former UFC lightweight interim champion fans expected the TUF 13 winner to put his gloves down and walk away from the sport.

Even UFC president Dana White spoke on it at his post-fight press conference.

“I would love to see Tony retire. When you talk about a skid you look at the guys he fought too. That plays a factor into it and how did he look right up until he lost,” White said.

“Tony, tonight, looked like he should retire.”

Seems that ‘El Cucuy’ disagrees.
