Prediction: Prates has grown into a very dangerous fighter over time. His biggest issue in the past was his takedown defense. He has tightened that up over time. The last time he was taken down was six fights ago and that was over three years ago. Prates is an excellent striker. He has top-notch kickboxing and is a dangerous Muay Thai practitioner. Someone with his distance control and level of striking is a dangerous man to stand across from. If his takedown defense is indeed improved he would win a lot of fights in the UFC.

On the other side, Ramirez is going to have a tough fight. He doesn’t do anything impressive. I will say he’s adequate everywhere. Strength and power are the best labels to give him.

Ramirez is open to getting his guard split and that’s dangerous against Prates who is lethal with those straight punches. Ramirez is going to have to get takedowns in this fight to survive. There has been nothing to suggest he can take down Prates after watching his tape. Ramirez has gaps in his takedown defense and his cardio isn’t great. Prates should piece him apart and get an eventual finish. I see a real possibility of Prates winning with a head kick. I would be surprised if Ramirez won.
