Former UAE Warriors bantamweight champion Xavier Alaoui looks to improve his win streak to three in a row when he takes on Road to UFC competitor Baergeng Jieleyisi in the co-main event at UAE Warriors 44 on Aug. 26 in Abu Dhabi per sources.

Alaoui lost the UAW Warriors bantamweight title to Vinicius de Oliveira at UAE Warriors 18 in 2021. Since then Alaoui has won two in a row including taking the UAE Warriors Arabia bantamweight title with an impressive second round TKO over Fabricio Sarraff.

Alaoui followed his title win with a first round guillotine victory over Jayson Margallo at UAE Warriors 36 in Feb.

Alaoui trains at the world-famous Tri Star Gym in Montreal Quebec, Canada with the likes of PFL welterweight champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier. Alaoui qualifies to compete in UAE Warriors events, but his his UAE Warriors Arabia title will not be on the line at UAE Warriors 44.

Jieleyisi is coming off a close split-decision loss to Shuya Kamikubo in May at Road to UFC in China. Prior to the loss he was on a 5-fight win streak, all finishes, before competing on Road to UFC Season 2.

The event will be part of a double-header for the promotion with UAE Warriors 43: Arabia taking place the night before. Both events will be globally streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
