As expected, the UFC will return to Paris, France this September.

After making their long-awaited debut in the French capital last year, September’s UFC Paris event will mark the promotion’s second trip to France. Company officials announced the new date, September 2, 2023, on Monday.

The event will once again take place at the Accor Arena. Tickets for the event go on sale June 23.

No fights have been announced for this year’s Paris card, which is expected to once again be a Fight Night event. But there’s a good bet that a number of top French and European stars will be in action: last year, France’s own Ciryl Gane and Nassourdine Imavov took part, as well as French Canadian Charles Jourdain.

The UFC has slowly begun returning to the road in 2023 — too slowly for fans tired of underwhelming Fight Night cards. In July, however, the promotion once again sets down in London, England, while September sees dates in both Paris and Sydney, Australia. October sees the UFC return to the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

MMA was legalized in France in 2020, after years of shutting its doors to the sport and forcing French fighters to compete abroad. Bellator MMA was the first major promotion to host an event in France, holding cards in 2020, 2022, and 2023. The UFC followed suit with their own debut last year.
