Invicta FC flyweight champ Ketlen Souza just recently signed with the UFC, and now has her first fight booked.

On Thursday, UFC officials announced via press release that Souza (13-3) will fight Karine Silva (15-4) in the former’s promotional debut at a Fight Night event on June 3, 2023.

UFC Roster Watch first noted the addition of Souza to the promotion’s fighter database earlier this week.

Brazil’s Souza, 27, previously held titles at strawweight and bantamweight on the regional scene. She settled at flyweight upon her debut with Invicta FC last year, and went 2-0 for the promotion, capturing the 125lb title in her last fight. That saw her win a unanimous decision over Kristina “War Horse” Williams.

Silva, 29, picked up a win on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, and followed that up by winning her UFC debut against Poliana Botelho last year. Silva had been expected to face Priscila Cachoeira last month, but the fight fell through after Cachoeira missed weight.
