Randi Field Feels She Has Too Much Passion, Aggression to Lose at Bellator 293

Temecula, CA — It’s been about a year since Randi Field last fought, which has given her plenty of time to go back to the drawing board.

A lot of the changes over the past year have been mental, Field explained during the Bellator 293 media day on Wednesday. “I’m able to accept my coach’s criticism, and just become a better fighter.”

In her return, Canada’s Field (3-1) faces Ashley “Smashley” Cummins, an Invicta FC and TUF veteran who will be the far more experienced fighter.

“I think it’s going to be great for her to have the experience walking out. I know that nerves can kick my ass any time,” Field told media outlets including Cageside Press. “Yeah, her experience, I really respect it, and I’m just trying to get mine.”

That having been said, Field believes her passion and aggression will be among the difference makers in the fight. “I think her and I are going to do very well together. It think there’s going to be a lot of exchange, but I think that I just have too much aggression and too much passion for everything I’ve done to get here.”

While Field’s profile has soared on social media (thanks in part to her OnlyFans presence), fighting remains something that is fun for her. “Yeah it’s a lot of fun. Actually to be honest if I wasn’t fighting, I don’t know what would happen to people on the street,” Field joked. “So it’s probably good that they put me in there.”

On a more serious not, Field would like to get a chance to avenge her lone loss in Bellator, which came at the hands of Sumiko Inaba.

“I feel like I’m in a totally different head space then I was then. I had a two-year layoff and I came off elbow surgery. So I was not my best self.”
