UFC Vegas 62: Joanderson Brito Likes Matchup With Dan Ige, Wants On UFC Rio Card

Las Vegas, NV – UFC featherweight Joanderson Brito put on a show for as long as the fight lasted when he submitted Lucas Alexander at UFC Vegas 62 on Saturday night.

“That’s who I am and how I am. Every time I come here to the UFC that’s what you can expect from me. Always attacking, always looking to finish the fight,” Brito told Cageside Press among other media through a translator at his post-fight scrum.

Following the bout Brito called out Dan Ige.

“The styles matchup well. Our game plans and our styles match. He’s a guy who’s a striker. He’s a guy who uses a lot of his boxing. He moves around a lot. A guy who’s so experienced so I think that people would really enjoy a fight between us,” said Brito.

So what’s next for Joanderson Brito?

“Of course I would really love to fight again, but I’m not in a rush. I think that it’d be really cool to fight in UFC Rio on the 21st of January. I’m patient and just awaiting what Dana has for me next,” Brito said.

The Brazilian couldn’t leave the remark on UFC Rio there.

“I think it would wonderful. The Brazilian people, the Brazilian crowd is just so fiery. I think it’ll be a really good atmosphere to fight. If I actually fought that card they’d see that I’m entertainment.”
