Former boxing champ and 2020 Contender Series winner Danyelle Wolf is finally set to make her UFC debut.

After a false start that saw her pull out of a fight with Invicta FC champ Felicia Spencer last year, Wolf (1-0) will take her second pro mixed martial arts contest against Norma Dumont (7-2). The featherweight affair is expected to take place at a yet-to-be announced UFC card on September 10, 2022.

Ag.Fight was first to report news of the match-up. Dumont subsequently confirmed the booking on social media.

Wolf defeated Taneisha Tennant on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2020. Picking up a unanimous decision win, the bout marked the former amateur boxing champ’s first live MMA fight — and her only one to date.

With Spencer retired, Megan Anderson released, and Holly Holm back to bantamweight, Wolf represents much-needed fresh blood in the UFC women’s 145 pound division. The weight class as it stands is comprised of champ Amanda Nunes, Dumont, Macy Chiasson (of late), and now, Wolf.

Brazil’s Norma Dumont had strung together a modest three-fight win streak, which was snapped in her last outing against TUF 28 featherweight winner Chiasson. Somewhat implausibly, Dumont missed weight for the fight, and wound up dropping a split decision.

Prior to the setback, Dumont had picked up wins over Ashlee-Evans Smith (at bantamweight), Felicia Spencer, and Aspen Ladd.

In the boxing world, Wolf went 30-14 as an amateur, and never turned pro. Instead, she focused on the Olympics, which did not have her weight class in 2016. She then put her MMA career on hold ahead of the 2020 Olympics— but did not make the cut.

No location, venue, or broadcast plan has been set for the UFC’s September 10, 2022 event, but the following fights have been reported for the show:

  • Trey Ogden vs. Daniel Zellhuber
  • Nikolas Motta vs. Cameron VanCamp
  • Norma Dumont vs. Danyelle Wolf
