UFC Vegas 54: Allan Nascimento Wants Fight In Sao Paulo On Same Card As Oliveira

Las Vegas, NV – After losing out on fighting at UFC London earlier this year UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento will get a chance to face his original opponent in Jake Hadley at UFC Vegas 54 on Saturday night.

“When my fight fell (out) we had more time to make my camp. It’s good for me and for all the fighters when you have a little more time to camp,” Nascimento told reporters on Wednesday.

For Nascimento it was not important to keep Hadley as an opponent.

“Doesn’t matter who is the opponent. We need to train and we need to stay front of (the fight) to do my best. That’s it,” Nascimento said.

Hadley comes off a submission win at Dana White’s Contender Series in Oct. 2021 and comes in with a lot of hype from fans.

“I don’t know, maybe…..Jake have the picture of the birthday cake with the UFC no? I think so the hype comes (off DWCS) and won. It’s no problem for me I come to (do) my best. I have the best partners on my team Charles, Daniel. I have the best coach from Chute Box. That’s the difference inside the octagon, not the hype,” Nascimento said.

Nascimento is coming off a loss to Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 267 whre he lost by split decision.

“I think (he) is a good fighter. He had eight fights, but I have maybe 24. It’s a big difference in MMA. Of course I am experienced, but he’s a good fighter in striking. He has good skills in BJJ. It’s not the same with Ulanbekov. (He’s) more aggressive,” said Nascimento.

The goal after this bout is to fight more often for Nascimento.

“Yes of course. I love to fight. When I finish this fight on Saturday, when I won, we’ll just take another fight. Maybe November Sao Paulo. The main event, Charles (Oliveira) vs. (Conor) McGregor. I like to fight on the same card in Sao Paulo with Charles.”
