The main event of UFC Vegas 52 features rising strawweight contender Amanda Lemos taking on Jessica Andrade following the latter’s stint at flyweight. Lemos fell in her promotional debut against Leslie Smith, but has since won five straight fights with three stoppages. Andrade won the strawweight title in 2019 and was unable to defend it, going 2-3 since winning the title. The two wins were knockouts against flyweights Cynthia Calvillo and Katlyn Chookagian. Cageside Press is split at three picks apiece.

The co-main event features veteran Clay Guida against Claudio Puelles. Guida is in year 15 of his UFC journey and still getting his hand raised, with wins in two of his last three. Puelles was knocked out in brutal fashion in his promotional debut, but has rebounded with wins in his last four fights including two submissions. Guida was picked by four of six writers.

Flyweights hoping to get back on the right track cross paths on the main card as Maycee Barber faces Montana De La Rosa. De La Rosa is 1-1-1 in her last three after starting her UFC run at 4-1. Barber was on the rise with three knockouts after joining the promotion, but two consecutive losses slowed her down. She was able to bounce back with a split decision win in her last bout. Cageside Press is split at three picks apiece.

Alexander Romanov faces short notice opponent Chase Sherman. Romanov is 15-0 in his career with four stoppages in as many fights since joining the UFC. Sherman is 3-8 in the Octagon and is riding a three-fight losing streak. Romanov was unanimously picked.

Due to the late addition of Charles Jourdain vs. Lando Vannata to the UFC Vegas 52 main card, it was not picked.
