Las Vegas, NV – Two of the more exciting featherweights in the UFC came to try and steal the show at UFC Vegas 52 on Saturday night. Lando Vannata and Charles Jourdain came to the UFC APEX looking for violence.

Vannata (12-5) has had quite a few exciting fights in his time in the UFC and arrived coming off a split-decision win over Mike Grundy at UFC 262. After just under a year away from the octagon “Groovy” returns looking to build some momentum at 145-pounds.

Jourdain (12-4-1) came into UFC Vegas 52 off a win over Andre Ewell by decision in December 2021. As inconsistent as his record is Jourdain remains one of the more exciting fighters in the UFC.

Both men arrived in Las Vegas looking to start a win streak and hopefully take home some bonus money.

Jourdain worked kicks early trying to find his range and attack the body of Vannata. Jourdain sent in a body kick which Vannata caught and used to get Jourdain to the ground. Vannata began to land shots from top position as Jourdain worked to find a way to his feet and got the fight back up.

A big left hand dropped Vannata and Jourdain dropped in to attack the guillotine. At first it was a one-arm guillotine, but once Jourdain was able to get Vannata into position he locked the guillotine in and got the tap.

Official Result: Charles Jourdain def. Lando Vannata via R1 2:32 submission (guillotine)
