Bellator 276: Roman Faraldo Looking to Follow ATT Teammates to AEW, Wants to Go Off Top Rope

Roman Faraldo has been a human highlight reel for Bellator MMA — and he’s looking to extend that to the pro wrestling world, and specifically All Elite Wrestling.

Faraldo (6-0) is a member of American Top Team, and returns to action at Bellator 276 this weekend. He knows what’s expected of him.

“At the end of the day, this is entertainment, and I come out here and entertain my fans,” he said during Thursday’s media day promoting the event. “People want to see something extraordinary, like you say, highlights, put on highlight reels. That’s what I come here to do. You know when you tune into my fights, you’re going to see something spectacular, no matter what happens.”

Faraldo, who has two flying knee stoppages in three Bellator fights, is paired up with Kelvin Rayford in St. Louis on Saturday. But a trip to the world of choreographed fighting could also be in the cards, potentially in an appearance for AEW.

The rising wrestling promotion signed Paige VanZant earlier this week, and has seen American Top Team own Dan Lambert appear on TV weekly, serving as a manager to the “Men of the Year” Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page.

Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski, Dalton Rosta, Austin Vanderford, Kayla Harrison, and Jorge Masvidal have all turned up under the pro wrestling outfit’s banner alongside Lambert. Faraldo could be next.

“I was already talking to Dan about it. I’m trying to go off the top rope, so hopefully soon,” he said of the possibility.

In the meantime, there’s a fight to focus on. And Faraldo admits there’s some pressure to live up to past performances. “Always, man. But that’s pressure on myself. I put that pressure on myself. I can come out here and point-strike anyone, and I believe I can win the fight that way no problem. I can out-wrestle a lot of these guys, people don’t realize that. But I’m not out here to do that. I’m out here to put on shows. I’m trying to put on a show that, when people watch it, they never forget it.”
