The upcoming RIZIN 34 card is complete.
Promotion officials announced the full 17-fight RIZIN 34 line-up on Thursday via press release, following a local press conference. The event is set to take place March 20, 2022 in Osaka, Japan at the Maruzen Intech Arena.
Topping the event will be a pair of UFC veterans, as Kiichi Kunimoto takes on Daichi Abe at welterweight. The card will be fairly evenly split between MMA and kickboxing, with nine mixed martial arts contests, and eight kickboxing bouts.
Abe (9-5) went 1-2 during his UFC run from 2017 to 2018, then piled up back-to-back losses in ONE Championship immediately afterward. He bounced back with three straight wins under Japan’s DEEP banner, before losing his promotional debut at RIZIN 31 last October.
Kunimoto (20-8-2) went 3-2 through five UFC fights before joining RIZIN in 2017. Since that time, he’s also fought for Bellator MMA, and recently got back in the win column with a submission of Takahiro Kawanaka at RIZIN TRIGGER 1 last November.
