10 Welterweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2022

Abdoul “Lazy King” Abdouraguimov

26 | 5’10″ | Nantes, France | 13-1 (1 NC) | 10 Finishes | 1 KO/TKO, 9 Submission (4 RNC’s, 2 Anaconda Chokes, 2 Arm-triangles, Brabo Choke) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 135-54 | Best Win – Viscardi Andrade (19-6)

Russian-born Abdouraguimov had a background in freestyle wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu before switching over to MMA. The young man has been in MMA since 2016 and has fought for Ares FC and mostly for Brave CF. He is a former Brave CF champion capturing the belt in 2019.

His wrestling is decent, but Abdouraguimov could use his setups better. However, he does close the distance fairly well and is willing to take risks getting the fight to the mat because he scrambles so well. On the mat, Abdouraguimov does excellent work with grappling, but on the feet, he is unpredictable and just needs to be more technical. Overall, Abdouraguimov has a bright future and the UFC should come soon.
