Charlie Ontiveros will be fighting in his second UFC fight at UFC Vegas 39. The 30 year old had his first fight in the promotion last year when he stepped up and fought Kevin Holland on short notice. Because it was a short notice fight, Charlie fought in the middleweight division, and only weighted in at 182.5lbs.
Steve Garcia stands at 6’2″ tall and posses a 76″reach. Charlie has had the vast majority of his pro MMA career at 170lbs. And now, for his first ‘real’ UFC match-up he will be moving down to the lightweight division to take on another fighter that isn’t exactly a career lightweight fighter in Steve Garcia.
Fans should keep an eye on Charlie as he looks to make his career debut at 155lbs., both on the scale and in the octagon.
