Steve Garcia and David Onama headlined UFC Vegas 110 on Saturday in a featherweight showdown that promised fireworks and intensity from start to finish.

Garcia (18-5) entered the matchup riding a six-fight winning streak, with five of those victories coming inside the first three rounds. Ranked No. 12 at featherweight, he hoped a standout performance against Onama would vault him into the division’s top five conversation.

Onama (14-2) entered on a four-fight winning streak of his own, with notable victories over Gabriel Santos, Jonathan Pierce, Roberto Romero, and Giga Chikadze. Ranked No. 13 in the division, he aimed to halt Garcia’s momentum and climb further up the featherweight ladder at the UFC APEX.

Round 1 – Both fighters met in the center immediately, neither willing to take a backward step. Garcia opened aggressively, landing a right hand to the face before mixing in a stiff jab, a left to the body, and another clean shot up top, setting a relentless pace early as Onama looked hesitant to fire back.

A sharp right hand forced Onama to shell up and reset, visibly shaken by Garcia’s volume and pressure. Garcia continued to vary his attacks, keeping Onama off balance and preventing him from establishing any rhythm.

A clean left hand from Garcia dropped Onama, who quickly returned to his feet only to be swarmed with more combinations. A second barrage sent Onama crashing to the canvas again, prompting the referee to step in and wave it off.

A statement finish and the seventh consecutive victory for Steve Garcia.
