Erick “Ghost Pepper” Gonzalez will be making his UFC debut as he takes on octagon veteran Jim Miller on the undercard of UFC Vegas 40.

One of MMA’s top prospects will be making their UFC debut as Erick “Ghost Pepper” Gonzalez takes on longtime Octagon veteran Jim Miller.  MMAJunkie was the first to report the news.

Gonzalez (14-5) is best known for being one of the most accomplished fighters in the former Combate Americas, now Combate Global.  Gonzalez previously challenged current UFC fighter Rafa Garcia for the promotion’s inaugural lightweight title in which Garcia ultimately prevailed.  Since the bout, Gonzalez has gone 4-1 including victories in Combate’s one night tournament as well as two fights outside of the organization.

Miller (32-16) will test the UFC newcomer as arguably the most established veteran currently competing in the Octagon.  A part of the UFC since 2011, Miller has fought the likes of Dustin Poirier, Anthony Pettis, Benson Henderson, and others during his tenure.  Miller is looking to snap a two fight skid after coming up short against Vinc Pichel and Joe Solecki earlier this year.

Earlier Wednesday, it was announced that Holly Holm was out of the headliner with Norma Dumont.  In Holm’s place will be Aspen Ladd.  The event is scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
