Bellator’s return to London, England later this year continues to grow.

On Wednesday, promotion officials announced via press release the Bellator London co-main event. In the penultimate fight of the evening, #5 ranked women’s featherweight Leah McCourt (5-1) will return to take on Jessica Borga (3-3).

The fight will be McCourt’s second of 2021. In her last outing at Bellator 259 in May, the 29-year old from Northern Ireland defeated Janay Harding via triangle choke.

After starting her career 1-1 in Cage Warriors, McCourt has put together four consecutive wins under the Bellator banner. She also holds a win over current UFC fighter Manon Fiorot.

Borga will be stepping into the Bellator MMA cage for the third time in London. “The Black Widow” is 1-1 in her run with the company thus far, with a win over Amber Leibrock and more recently, a loss in April of this year against Talita Nogueira.

The Bellator London card is headlined by a highly anticipated rematch between former welterweight champion Douglas Lima and Michael “Venom” Page. The pair first met as part of the welterweight grand prix, with Lima knocking out “MVP.”

Bellator London takes place October 1 at the SSE Arena, Wembley, in London, England. The event will air live on Showtime in the US, and on the BBC iPlayer in the U.K.
