Brian Moore Looking for Redemption at Bellator 263, Despite Win Streak

Los Angeles, CA — Brian Moore is entering his first fight of 2021 this Saturday at Bellator 263.

Ireland’s Moore (12-7) will take on Jordan Winski as part of Saturday’s card, and he’s looking to erase the memory of his last showing in America.

“This is my second trip back to the States, and even though I’m on a win streak at the minute, I feel like there’s redemption here for myself,” Moore said during Wednesday’s Bellator 263 media day, “because last time I came stateside, everything was going so smooth, but I ended up breaking my two hands in that fight— and ended up losing a decision. It’s one that I still think should have been a draw, because I dropped that guy like four times. But I’m just so excited to be back to make amends here in the states.”

The loss to Noad Lahat may sting a little less now that Moore has won two straight. And “The Pikeman” feels like he’s hit another level ahead of his upcoming bout. “It doesn’t matter here on Saturday night. It’s Brian Moore that’s performing, and other than that, I don’t really care,” he said when asked about the revolving door of opponents booked against him recently, with several dropping out.

While Moore tends to find himself booked on Bellator’s European cards, the long trip stateside doesn’t bother him, he said. “I don’t mind it, I just try to take everything minute by minute. I try to enjoy the process. I’ve got a very busy and extremely lucky, grateful life, but it’s 24-7, go, go, go. It was nice to look at two movies on the flight on the way over.”

The only thing that effected his preparations once he got to the U.S.? “As I landed, in the hotel, I found out my that my opponent had pulled out. Then I just started trying to get the fight sorted. Once that was done, then I was sleeping nice.”

Those two movies he caught on the flight over? Talladega Nights, and a Tiger Woods documentary, for those curious.
