Newman comes from a wrestling background as a D1 wrestler at Wyoming University. There isn’t a lot of footage to get a good read on him. From the footage I got, he swings heavy from the hips and has a strong wrestling attack. Everything else is questionable. He has a notable loss as an amateur to top prospect Josh Quinlan. He lost that fight in only 19-seconds which is a bad look. With many middleweight prospects looking to get their shot, a guy with a 3-1 record should have to wait longer.
