We may have had to wait a little longer for Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka to step into the Octagon, but UFC Vegas 25 was more fitting as they got the opportunity to unleash their power in the main event.

Jiri Prochazkaโ€™s UFC debut showcased what fans expected from him throughout his MMA career, and that is his knockout power. A second-round finish of a former light heavyweight title challenger, Volkan Oezdemir, showed that his path to UFC Gold was off to a solid start. Jiri looks to continue rising through the ranks to number one contender with a victory over the man who has back-to-back shots at the title. With a win over Dominick Reyes, Jiri Prochazka could quite possibly make a case that he is the man next in line to face the winner between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira.

Dominick Reyes looks to derail the berserker train in the light heavyweight that is Jiri Prochazka. Reyes has been to the top of the division twice with the shot at Jon Jonesโ€™ title and most recently Jan Blachowicz, only to get the bitter taste of defeat. Getting past a rising star like Jiri Prochazka could be the ticket to keep him in line for another shot at UFC Gold. Getting back into the title picture, Dominick Reyes hopes that the third time is the charm to having Dana White one day wrap the title around his waist.

The damage Jiri Prochazka inflicted on Dominick Reyes early in the first was visibly noticeable going into the second round. Dominick Reyes did not go out without a fight, connecting with damaging shots and almost locking up a submission. But Jiri Prochazka managed to escape and get back to his feet. After a brief exchange, Jiri ended the fight with a beautiful spinning elbow which sent Reyes to the canvas. What an amazing finish from Jiri Prochazka!
