UFC 262: Andrea Lee vs Antonina Shevchenko Set for May 15

Another women’s flyweight bout has been announced for UFC 262 as Andrea Lee vs Antonina Shevchenko is official for May 15.

Andrea Lee and Antonina Shevchenko will be fighting for the first time in 2021 as they are the latest bout announced for UFC 262 on May 15.  MMAJunkie was the first to report the bout.

Andrea “KGB” Lee (11-5) will be looking to snap a three fight skid when she enters the cage for the first time in 2021.  A former LFA champion, Lee got her UFC career off to a strong start by recording consecutive victories over Veronica Macedo, Ashlee Evans-Smith, and Montana De La Rosa.  In her last several bouts she’s dropped decisions to Lauren Murphy, Roxanne Modafferi, and Joanne Calderwood.  In December, Lee was scheduled to face Gillian Robertson but withdrew a week out from the bout with a broken nose.

Antonina Shevchenko (9-2) is looking to get back-to-back victories for the first time in her UFC career.  First joining the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018, Shevchenko has alternated wins and losses during her run with victories against Ji Yeon Kim and Lucie Pudilova and losses to Roxanne Modafferi and top ranked contender Katlyn Chookagian.  Going into the bout, Shevchenko is coming off a victory over former KSW champion Ariane Lipski.

No headliner or location has been announced for the event, although it is expected to be a pay-per-view.
