A clash of the titans has been booked to serve as the KSW 59 main event.

After teasing the return of Mariusz Pudzianowski for weeks, KSW officials have finally revealed his opponent for next month’s KSW 59. And it’s massive Senegalese wrestler Serigne Ousmane, otherwise known as “Bombardier.” The super heavyweight, who clocks in somewhere around 330lbs, will be making his debut for the Polish promotion.

The 44-year old Ousmane has fought twice in mixed martial arts, compiling a 2-0 record. Both fights ended in first round TKO victories, with the longest lasting all of 72 seconds.

Mariusz Pudzianowski (13-7, 1NC), also 44, has long been one of the biggest draws in KSW. The former five-time winner of the World’s Strongest Man strongman competition transitioned to MMA in 2009, making his pro debut at KSW 12. His only fight outside the promotion came the following year, a loss to former UFC champ Tim Sylvia in Pudzianowski’s only fight on U.S. soil.

While getting his start in MMA late, “Pudzian” has used his size and strength to pick up wins over Bobb Sapp, Oli Thompson, and Rolles Gracie Jr., among others. He last competed in 2019, defeating social media star Erko Jun.

KSW 59 will mark one of the rare occasions where Pudzianowski gives up much in the way of size. The event takes place March 20, 2021 in Lodz, Poland. A bantamweight title fight between champ Antun Racic and Sebastian Przybysz is expected as the co-headliner.
