10 Welterweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Eldar Eldarov

29 | 6’2″ | Dagestan, Russia | 12-1 | 9 Finishes | 1 KO/TKO, 8 Submissions’ (3 Triangles, 3 RNC’s, 2 Armbars’) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 54-35 | Best Win – Mounir Lazzez (7-0)

Eldarov isn’t talked about a lot and that may be because Russia is absolutely loaded with prospects. Those that know of Eldarov, however, know he’s a high-level athlete. He has impressive wins over some really good fighters and his only loss was eleven years ago to no other than lightweight king Khabib Nurmagomedov. He hasn’t lost since being on a current 11-fight win streak.

The Russian was a former World Cup of Sambo champion and a former European sambo champion. He hits hard on the feet, but he wants to close the distance and get the takedown. His striking is getting better but the Dagestani would rather dominate his foes with wrestling and top position.
