It wasn’t the main event we anticipated this Saturday at UFC Vegas 15. Unfortunately, in the era of COVID-19, it is becoming the norm for fight cards to get shuffled around last minute. Still, the UFC managed to get a pretty decent main event with Anthony Smith and Devin Clark facing off as the late replacements with the loss of the titanic main event, which previously was going to be Curtis Blaydes vs. Derrick Lewis before Blaydes tested positive for COVID-19.

The switch may have disappointed some fans, but hey, a free fight is a free fight, and that’s what we got at UFC Vegas 15. And it turned out to be a good one for as long as it lasted, in what was Clark’s first UFC main event.

Anthony Smith secured a nice takedown early in the first round and after a few grappling exchanges, he reminded the world that he isn’t going anywhere. Smith got the win with a perfectly executed triangle choke at 2:34 in the very first round. This win could be the confidence boost that he needed after being on a brief but disappointing losing streak.

Here’s how the pros reacted to the main event between Anthony Smith and Devin Clark at UFC Vegas 15.
