It has been a long time coming for Brian Ortega vs. Chan Sung Jung. Fight fans were already pumped for these two contenders to show the world their clash of exciting styles last December. Then, the fight was postponed. Ortega tore his ACL just before UFC Busan and just as he was ready to return, the “Korean Zombie” was slowed by an injury of his own. Then came the coronavirus pandemic.

The mystique of Ortega vs. Zombie continued to intensify after a scuffle at UFC 248 where Ortega slapped a friend of the Korean Zombie, Jay Park. The altercation left fight fans salivating for this fight even more, and they finally got to witness it on UFC Fight Island 6.

It turned out to be worth the wait.

Sometimes after a long absence from the octagon, you witness a fighter return to action, and the ring rust (or cage rust if you prefer) is real. That was not the case for Brian Ortega at UFC Fight Island 6. Ortega came back displaying a more polished version of himself, showing the world that he took his loss to Max Holloway very seriously and went to work to put on a beautiful masterpiece against a tough Chan Sung Jung.

Here is how the pros reacted to Brian Ortega’s victory at UFC Fight Island 6.
